Easy Tips to keep your lesson agenda on time

When you expect to complete the lesson agenda on time; use the following habits to keep you on track.

  1. Use a timer
    1. Classroom Screen

    2. Online Stopwatches

    3. Teacherstack (great for stations activities)

  2. Appoint a timekeeper
  3. Delegate tasks to students such as handing out paper as you continue with the agenda
  4. Plan activities in 10 to 15 minute chunks
  5. For an 80 minute class plan for 65-70 minutes
    • allows for transitions between activities
    • gives you 5 minutes at the end of the class for clean up
  6. Limit off-task conversations
  7. Limit needy students who take up too much of your time
